hi Chris, i think a rethink on the title is needed as in my opinion you are jumping the gun a bit and answering a key part of your research already. your title makes the assumption that the violence in anime is gratuitous. a better title would be 'how is violence represented in anime?' or 'an exploration of the rep of violence in animae with particular focus on ...' . the issue of gratuitousness will naturally come up and will be an area you can then explore, particularly through deliberation of your audience responses. but other issues will come up too and you can focus on these as well. have a chat with me about this on mon in the lesson, cheers, ms blackborow
