Very violent fight scene in which the lead character (Spike) is practically beaten to death by his enemy (Vincent). Similar to the violence in many western action films BUT more graphic i.e. bullet wound to head, slow motion bullet entering, extreme blood use, gasps of pain, spluttering of blood from the mouth etc.



An anime music video (AMV) based on the many violent scenes constructed in the film. Hyper violence is presented as common place such as the scenes where Ashitaka literally shoots off a person's head using an arrow or cuts clear through a person's arm. Violence from "demonic" or "godlike" beings is also shown and creates a sense of fear from the unknown or super powerful.
